In 2016, Rolex manufactured a new stainless Daytona “ref.116500LN”,featuring a newly patented black monobloc Cerachrom bezel.
The ceramic bezel of this Daytona, which is reminiscent of the plastic bezel born in 1965, is highly resistant to scratches and corrosion, as well as ultraviolet rays. The tachymeter scale coated with a thin layer of platinum also gains a high visibility, thanks to the PVD (physical vapor deposition) process.
While the case and the bracelet become similar to the Daytona “ref.116520”, as well as the mounted movement cal.4130, Rolex has updated their “Superlative Chronometer” standards since 2015, to now guarantee an accuracy of -2/+2 seconds per day, after casing, which is more than twice the accuracy required by the COSC standards, significantly improving its reliability.
With Rolex's state-of-the-art technology and sophisticated design, the Daytona “ref.116500LN” has evolved further as a Rolex flagship model.
